Happy bonfire night! This week we have been doing lots of fun activities all about bonfire night and fireworks. We have learnt about the history of bonfire night and why it is celebrated. We have seen and heard lots of fireworks and used wow words in our writing to describe the sounds they make and how they look.

Numbers, numbers, numbers
Number work this week.
We have been consolidating our recognition and formation of numbers 1-10. And some of us have been adding two sets of numbers together.
Police dog visitors
Reception have been learning a lot about what we want to be / do when we grow up. We have been discussing being police officers, fire officers, ballet dancers, footballers, road workers, builders, IT specialists and many more. We looked at what skills we need to have to become these professions.

PE this week
We have learnt some exciting new skills in PE this week. Balancing, rolling and bouncing. We have used lots of different equipment to help us, basket balls, plastic balls and bean bags.

We are writers week
Reception are taking part in our 'we are writers' week. We are looking at what we'd like to do/be when we grow up. We have looked at different jobs and what kind of skills we need to have to be in that job.

Friday Post 2: European Day of Languages
Nursery and Reception will be taking part in activities related to Denmark. We will be learning some words in Danish. Try to wear red and white as part of this special day.
