Fairytales theme - Cinderella week

This week we have started our fairytales theme, looking at the story of Cinderella. We have listened to the story, sequenced the events in the story and written our own invitations for a party or ball. We have been very creative, developing our knowledge of shapes and made masks, swords, picture frames or mirrors.

In literacy we have been focusing on forming our letters correctly, writing our key words and beginning to make sentences with them. And in maths we have been consolidating our knowledge of 2D shapes and learning some new 3D shapes.

Mersey vales got talent week

This week we have been sharing our talents. We have been talking about what we are good at. We shared our talents in circle time -

Some children showed their best karate moves, explaining really well what karate is and what the coloured belts mean. 

Some children showed us their hopping skills and could hop for 25 hops.

Some children said they were creative and made a super fireworks model. Telling us in great detail how they made it and what it's for.

Some children showed us their lovely dance moves.

And their beautiful ballet moves.

We sang our favourite nursery rhymes.

And showed us their best swimming moves.
