Amazing Stephen

On our Fun Day we had Amazing Stphen, the magician and circus act. In the morng he showed us some magic tricks, with string, crayons and head bands.

In the afternoon he let us have a go at some circus tricks in a circus workshop. We tried stilt walking, bouncing on po-go sticks, plate spinning, skipping ropes, juggling, hoop rolling and discus spinning. It was lots of fun!

Receptions Fun Day

Reception had a great Fun Day, full of treats, prizes, magic shows, circus workshops and face painting. Here are a few of our amazing face paints!!

Reception win Albert Bear

Super news Reception, we won Albert Bear for 100% attendance last week! Well done everyone! As we have Albert over the holidays we have given him a summer holiday outfit!

What a supersonic day Reception have had at the airport!

Wow what a fantastic day we spent at the airport runway park! We did so much in one day, here's just a few of the amazing things we saw - 

We went on an old Avro RJX aircraft and saw the flight deck and controls inside.

We were lucky enough to go and see Concorde, which was very special. The fastest passenger aircraft! We learnt about the size, speed, cost and special features of Concorde.

We got chance to have our lunch in the park, looking at all the aeroplanes taking off and landing for the holidays. We were also able to have some play time on the adventure playground.

We went on an old Monarch aircraft, sitting and playing with all the controls in the flight deck.

We learnt about all the important people who work at the airport, from the police, to the fire brigade, the pilots to the flight attendants...and we were bake to wear some of their uniforms.

Mrs Edwards would like to say how well all the children behaved on the visit, it was a pleasure to take you all, and I hope you had an enjoyable time.

Also a massive thank you to all the staff who came and helped us, thank you!

Constructing and making is week

This week we have had some beautiful models and creations made in the construction and malleable areas, made by Zoe, Aliza and Saskia.

Year two gardening club

We had a very wet gardening club on Tuesday!! We managed to make some bird feeders and hang them up around the playground. They were obviously so delicious most of them have already gone! We designed our own pots and planted some beans to take home.

Sunny PE lessons

Reception are enjoying the sunny weather having our PE lesson outside. On the adventure playground. And using our equipment to practise our throwing and catching skills.
