What a supersonic day Reception have had at the airport!

Wow what a fantastic day we spent at the airport runway park! We did so much in one day, here's just a few of the amazing things we saw - 

We went on an old Avro RJX aircraft and saw the flight deck and controls inside.

We were lucky enough to go and see Concorde, which was very special. The fastest passenger aircraft! We learnt about the size, speed, cost and special features of Concorde.

We got chance to have our lunch in the park, looking at all the aeroplanes taking off and landing for the holidays. We were also able to have some play time on the adventure playground.

We went on an old Monarch aircraft, sitting and playing with all the controls in the flight deck.

We learnt about all the important people who work at the airport, from the police, to the fire brigade, the pilots to the flight attendants...and we were bake to wear some of their uniforms.

Mrs Edwards would like to say how well all the children behaved on the visit, it was a pleasure to take you all, and I hope you had an enjoyable time.
